She
is known by many names and faces.
The
Lady of the Sun,
as she is known to the southernfolk of Halas.
The Erudites call her the Breath of Dawn,
for the beauty
of the day's sunrise is often a reminder of her perpetual grace.
And to the elves of the Faydwer, she is "Llyria,"
a name which they have used
over the centuries to describe an undescribable beauty.
The
embodiment of all that is good, she walks the grounds of Norrath as all
creatures, whether born of the light or darkness, bow down in her presence.
It is by the tune of her flute that the skies surrender their ominous
clouds
to reveal a prismatic rainbow.
It is by the waft of her staff that the great Lavenwood trees of Kelethin
turn from jade green to the spectacular fiery colors of autumn.
In short, where there is beauty in Norrath, you will find Llyria nearby.
The
sleeping lake, shadowed in the evening's veil,
At last gives in to the dawn.
Its surface reveals the burning skies of the East,
And the fogs of darkness surrender to the sun.
There, beyond the purple hills of eternity,
The eyes of beauty look down upon Norrath's children.
Life stirs and then turns to greet the morning flame,
Knowing not that the radiance from the heavens,
Are the eyes and breath of Llyria.
The
elves speak the words:
Kuma val si llyriasu, si ven Llyria vay matisan.
"All that is beautiful, is from Llyria of the Heavens"
