Whether by song or by sword, Ethe Wildesong has dedicated his life to defend the good people of Norrath from all evil that may lurk.

I met Ethe during a supply run to Qeynos.  As I approached the towers that guard the city, I noticed a glimmering object so bright, it  illuminated the giant Qeynos gates themselves.  When I found the source, I was amazed to find that it was a sword that dwarfed even those wielded by the great paladins.  It was then that Ethe told me of his great tale.

"On the evening when darkness fell upon the Qeynos Hills, and the armies of the undead swarmed upon our peaceful town, I rushed to the aid of my dying brothers and sisters.  With my songs of battle and courage, I was able to empower the remaining warriors as we stood our ground, defending our precious home.

After three long nights of battle, we rallied to defeat the foul beasts and drive them from the Hills.  Upon slaying the final Warbone Skeleton, our hills ignited in a brilliant light. 

It was then He appeared.  My Lord and Light, Mithaniel Marr spoke to me.

'Ethe Wyldesong, my son, you have served me well.  A new light now shines upon your path.  Take this sword, "The Protector of Faiths" and guard my sons and daughters.'
