The Character Touch-Ups The first step in touching-up is to detail the characters. I add highlights where they are needed, especially around the armor to give it more depth. Armor often tends to be very flat, so I like to increase the color levels to give it more vibrance.
Many times I will get unwanted shadows, such as seen under Wren's nose (below). That is where I pick up my light-pen and do some old fashioned digital airbrushing.
